Jordan decided to stay at my apartment Sunday night so she came over and we grabbed some dinner and hung out for a while. When she headed for class late Monday morning, I decided to go check out MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art which is only

a couple subway stops and a short walk from here. I had a lot of fun walking around looking at all of the exhibits. Some of the works I really liked – others, not so much – but I guess that is what art is all about.
I figured a trip to MoMA was in order because I had signed up for a drawing class Tuesday morning. Now, I am no artist at all – zero training! I told Jordan that the only thing that would put me further outside of my comfort zone would be to get on stage and have to sing!! But, what the heck! So, Tuesday morning, sketch pad and pencils in hand I headed for the studio.

First of all, I have to say that I was definitely the rookie of the group but everyone was very, very welcoming. The instructor was very patient and helpful and, in spite of the fact that I was brain dead after three hours of drawing, it was a great experience. To the point that I will return next week. It’s challenging and fun! Why not?

After class, I hiked over to meet Jordan and Eataly where we grabbed some lunch and a delicious canoli!! before we walked back to my place.
Sounds like you’re still having a blast Mike – I can’t wait to see some of your work! It also sounds like a treat to be able to spend so much time with Jordan. I’m looking forward to hearing about your singing lessons next…
