Almost 3,000 people lost their lives on 9/11/2001 and that tragedy brought with it a sense of unity in the United States unlike anything we’ve seen since probably World War II.
The current pandemic has killed 650,000 Americans and the country is more divided than at any time in my lifetime.
In spite of all of the admonitions to ‘Never Forget’ – I guess we forgot!
I have nothing further to add to this very solemn day.
Well said, Mike. Here are my feelings. 9-11 shown us how we are united as a country. The question now would our country respond the same way or believe it was false news from the media if we were under attack. Our enemies are well aware if they could get us doubting and hating each other and the government that maybe they could be successful in the next surprise attack on our government. I believe this was the goal of our enemies from the start and they realized how arrogant people have become in our country with their supposed rights. Now we are going to have another demonstration at our Capitol one week after 9-11 from same people who organized the first insurrection. There is no way to justify this demonstration as patriotic. They are anarchists who are determined to have their own way and do not care about our country and believe that they have the right to destroy our government because it does not meet their ideological definition. They are now the American Taliban. This would be the perfect distraction for foreign terrorists to take advantage of the situation.
