I’m just a few blocks from the Empire State Building but think I will wait for a nice sunny day during the week to go up to the observation deck. I have never been in my previous trips to New York so that’s on my ‘to do’ list while I’m here.

Jordan came over late this morning and we grabbed some brunch at a local diner. And then she crashed on my sofa for a couple of hours!! The life of a college student. When she woke up she worked on her homework and I was once again engaged as the calculus tutor! It’s taking a bit of work on my part to dust off the old math brain but I’m slowly getting the synapses firing. Then we grabbed some dinner before we jumped on the subway back to her dorm.
She’s a very busy girl these days so I suspect I’ll only see her only once or twice a week. In addition to classes, she has a part time job at a pediatrics clinic and activities with her sorority! I think my apartment will become the place to get away, take a nap, and have some quiet time to study!! I gave her a set of keys today so she can come and go as she pleases. It’s a quick subway ride from her dorm so she can come over whenever she wants to get away from the chaos.
Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the juggling class as I wasn’t feeling all that great. But, it’s been rescheduled so we’ll see what happens. I have some other activities planned for this week and will report back after the fact. Now that I am all settled in, I hope to start hitting the museums and galleries. All in all, a good first week!
